Luis Venegas is my idol! When I was starting my site, both Donald Robertson and Inez asked me, "Do you know Luis?". Well now I do and I am in awe. Like-minded and chic, here is a bit about the man and his dog Perri, and the new magazine, "The Printed Dog".
How did you come up with the idea for the magazine?
Almost two years ago, Leo, my boyfriend, gave me a dog for my birthday, Perri. Perri has given me so much love and shown the greatness of such cheerful creatures. Since then, ideas started to come to my mind. I had to do something with them, and magazines are what I do best. Leo liked the idea and agreed to be part of this new adventure.
What are his fav toys and bed?
He gets tired of toys easily; we have to buy a new one each month. The one that lasted most was a pink plastic hanger that was so chewed that it didn’t look like a hanger anymore. He has a little green bed that he only uses in the morning, after sleeping all night with us...
What collars and leashes do you use?
He uses the same harness from when he was a baby; he hasn’t grown much. It’s a simple black harness with a black nylon leash. We didn’t want anything that would take away the attention of his cuteness.
What's the funniest thing (besides snoring) that he does?
Perri doesn’t know how to climb on our bed or on the couch, he just sits next to it and starts to bark softly and waits till we lift him so he can join us… We don’t mind because it’s the perfect excuse to treat him like a baby, but we know he can!
What has he taught you?
I’ve always been a very independent person, but because of Perri, my heart has opened to a world of care and joy.
