Kelly Wearstler is a force of nature.  She is an avid animal advocate and a West Coast design guru. It is this impassioned life that caught Mrs. Sizzle's eye and made me want to feature Willie the wonder dog (@williewearstler).  As a long-time ambassador for the Best Friends Animal Society, Kelly has hosted adoption events with the animal welfare and advocacy organization, including an NKLA (No-Kill L.A.) fundraising evening at her boutique in West Hollywood three years ago.  That’s where she first met Willie, who was donning a pink cable knit sweater and greeted her with his sagacious eyes and wagging tail. Kelly was smitten.  “We just had to bring him home!  Animals are super sensitive and emotional beings.  All they want is to be loved, like us.  Our furry friends are our best friends…be one back!”

My friend and brilliant photographer, Melanie Acevedo, had the opportunity to visit Kelly in her home with Willie and these images are the result.

Kelly has collection of custom luxury dog accessories where a portion of the  proceeds go to BEST FRIENDS ANIMAL SOCIETY where she got Willie.  Think beds, bowls and the chicest dog houses you have ever seen! Thank you Kelly, Melanie and Willie for a window on your playdate.
