A fabulous writer friend of mine, John Ortved, had the pleasure of attending an event for the dog filled SWATCH launch of the My Pet and Me collection and this is what he had to say about it:
"I spend 30-40 percent of my average day coveting other people's dogs. It's not a great use of my time, but as a writer who works for himself, I have the free time to do it, and it's a better use of that time than, say, drinking. Last Thursday, I had the opportunity to do both those things in the amazing Times Square Swatch store. With a Tail Wagger cocktail in my hand, my pal, the photographer Ben Ritter, and I got to watch some of the city's most stylish pups freak out amongst the My Pet and Me watches and a host of New York media elites. It was the animal and fashion-lover's equivalent to Scrooge McDuck diving into that pool of gold bullion. But these pups were priceless."
