Bibi as Marja

I present Marja Samsom, artist, chef, photographer, restauranteur (think The Kitchenclub & Chibi's Bar) extraordinaire, and her delicious dog Bibi (excuse the pun!). We met several weeks ago and I cannot resist sharing this savory dog recipe that Marja made for Bibi. "Originally as a S8 filmmaker, I conceived the idea for this video a couple of months ago, visualizing it photographed in a classic Old Dutch Masters kind of way. Remco Bikkers our cameraman and fellow 'Dutch Master' shares this visual point of view.  During our editing process we had lots of fun and laughs...as you hopefully will too." shares Marja.

The recipe is as follows: "I usually use 1 pound of sweet potato or pumpkin peeled & chopped in chunks with just enough water to cover. Cooking takes about 7/10 minutes till 'done'! Drain & reserve excess liquid (use for soup or your healthy drink), mash with hand or electric blender/ chopper. Add/ 'work into', 1 pound of raw chopped kale, chard, or broccoli rabe - the choices are endless.  Bibi loves raw lamb meat & is SUPER happy with leg of lamb bones to 'work' on..(calcium)!  While I work/chew on my other projects ...top the above vegetable mix with your choice of meat or fish! In our case Bibi gobbles 1 cup of this dinner a day: we almost always add 6-8 ounces of Raw meat on top unless she requests a vegetarian option.  Of course we keep any extras covered in the fridge. DON't mix raw meat into this mash!" - Marja Samson

WEAR your heart on your sleeve - literally

Who loves my dogs more than me? Howie Guja I think. Or at least he acts like it when he takes their pictures!
