MARIA ROBLEDO HAS A RABBIT NOT A DOG AND A BEAUTIFUL RABBIT AT THAT
Cornillius came to Maria and family when they discovered her daughter, Sofia, was allergic to other pets. He is a New Zealand rabbit bought in Canada and will live a long gorgeous life as Maria's muse. She started photographing him 4 years ago on her iPhone to get her acclimated to digital and thus, the Maria Robledo feed of Cornillius began.
SEBASTIAN KIM HAS A DOG NAMED MORENO WHO LIKES TO GO ON SHOOTS WITH HIM
This is Uggie. And this is Moreno with Sebastian on a shoot. Sebastian took Uggie's portrait during his performance in THE ARTIST. Sebastian says of Mrs. Sizzle's site, " Moreno will be so psyched to be on there. All I can say is that when Moreno comes to studio shoots, he gets more attention than the models. But he's also great help on set, he makes sure everyone is focused on creating great pics!" Thanks Sebastian!
WILL ADLER SURFS AND TAKES PICTURES OF DOGS
Will shows at Danziger Gallery. As Will puts it, "I have a great relation with dogs. While I don't have one at the moment I always enjoy being around them. They tend to make their way into my work very often. I feel like their personalities come out easily when they are being photographed."
PAMELA HANSON WORSHIPS HER DOGS DANNY AND MOLLY
Not only has Pamela been a fun friend but she is also a mad good photographer. And not only a photographer but a dog lover too which makes for a delicious doggie combo! Seen here are some summer fun dog pictures of the creatures she is in love with. Best part of this post is seeing her nanny, Lynny, with Tabu, the poodle, Ambra, the great pyrenees, and Jimmy Hendrix, the cat. In addition to dogs, she also loved horses but her parents drew the line at canines.
DONALD (DRAW) ROBERTSON LIKES TO TAKE PICS OF DOGS IN FUNNY CLOTHES
Donut is usually for scale, Monty is just handsome. And Donald likes to draw.
GET YOUR DAILY DOSE OF RILEY
We came across Chaity and Riley on Instagram as she takes the most heartwarming pictures of her Parson French Canadian dog. Chaity got Riley a year after being diagnosed with a pretty debilitating illness and he quickly became her inspiration and muse during her treatments and recovery. A former art director, Chaity's photographs of Riley began as a hobby, but he quickly became “insta-famous.” Now, Chaity and Riley use their instagram popularity to raise awareness and launch projects such as #ourpearlywhites which promotes Doggy Dental Hygiene. Besides Instagram, Riley and Chaity have launched their own accessory line on www.ichaity.com. Proceeds from these sales go to Chaity’s treatment and to The World Society for The Protection of Animals.
Malick Sidibe is a fav photographer of mine and can you believe I found a dog in one of his pictures
Alice Austin had a pug, E-I-E-I-O
Every year in honor of the legendary photographer, Alice Austin, and her pug, Punch, the Alice Austin House celebrates with a fabulous BYOP (bring your own pug) day. This year Gillian Laub and her family captured some of the festive canines.
Bikes and Dogs, what!?
I came across these amazing photos of Sam Polcer's on Alison Zavos' amazing site, Feature Shoot. Check out his book for more riders without dogs!
William Wegman does know how to make a bed
Or at least he did make it while I was there at the studio that day. So, I was nervous before the visit, that I might be the only dog owner in the world to have dogs, well not really, that like to jump up on people. It was just not so. Wegman's dogs do the same thing and his dogs are bigger than my dogs. This is what he says about two of them, "Topper is the biggest trouble maker. He sometimes bites Flo's back leg when Flo is introducing herself to visitors. He barks a lot. But he's a great dog." I loved being able to go meet the dogs.
@ifitwags and boy, does it!
Obsessed is all I have to say about these guys. One of the most remarkable Insta feeds I have seen and grown exponentially in the time that I followed them. Stephanie's love for photography grew after she adopted Gus. See Rescue to find out more!
@ifitwags rescued Gus from a high kill shelter in Utah
As you can see here Stephanie's love for animals started at an early age. Seen here are Stephanie, her sister Emily, and Tara, the dog that always went to school to find them. Fast forward to several years ago when Stephanie found Gus on petfinder.com but the trouble was he only had 48 hours to live and he was in Utah. Stephanie lives in Vancouver BC and was lucky enough with the help of Utah's Perfect Pointers, to get Gus up to her as an 8 months old pup and LIVED!. Travis, her other dog, was a foster dog that she and her boyfriend Josh, decided not to give back. And thus, the Pointer Brothers were born! Don't forget that you can get any kind of dog through adoption!
William Eggleston has been known the photograph a dog or two
Thank you Maria Bueno from Cheim Read Gallery for finding me this delicious photo of William Eggelston's.

Tim Walker and Jacob K have a fabulous dog
Wit and whimsy is how I think of Tim. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous picture of Stig, looking for a hunt in the hills. Tim and Jacob found Stig chained up outside their house in London 5 years ago and they are, as Tim would say, OBSSESSSSSSED. I get it. And Jacob, nothing finer than a man in a skirt.
Puffy Demarchelier
Would you ever suspect that Patrick Demarchelier would name his dog Puffy?
Valerie Shaff will be nice to your dog and your horse, I promise.
After being given her first camera at age seven, Valerie's first subject was her dog Taffy. Twenty years later she was taking a picture for a friend and the result was magical; a gorgeous portrait of her friends dog, Cocoa.
HAVE TANK WILL TRAVEL
Jacklyn Russell and Walker Howland are photographers who share a passion for the natural world and its wonders. Their fish portraits capture the beauty and individuality of their subjects. They got into the pet photography as they share of love for both - animals and film. It was only natural that they combined the two and a good combo I would say.
My old friend Todd Eberle and his amazing dog REX
Todd once had a dog called T Bone. He was a beautiful, spunky dog and my daughter Sophie loved him so. T-Bone got old and now Todd has a dog named T Rex, half Chihuahua, half Maltese beauty. What a special dog he is. In fact, he lives up to that name of his and is an absolute "king". I think he likes art a lot, especially the Jeff Koons at the Brant Foundation.
