Bikes and Dogs, what!?
I came across these amazing photos of Sam Polcer's on Alison Zavos' amazing site, Feature Shoot. Check out his book for more riders without dogs!
Edie & Clair
Well of course they are in the Things I Love because they are my dogs! This was taken in Central Park this Spring when the weather was finally getting nice.
This lady can train a dog like no other
Or at least he did make it while I was there at the studio that day. So, I was nervous before the visit, that I might be the only dog owner in the world to have dogs, well not really, that like to jump up on people. It was just not so. Wegman's dogs do the same thing and his dogs are bigger than my dogs. This is what he says about two of them, "Topper is the biggest trouble maker. He sometimes bites Flo's back leg when Flo is introducing herself to visitors. He barks a lot. But he's a great dog." I loved being able to go meet the dogs.
William Wegman does know how to make a bed

@ifitwags and boy, does it!
Obsessed is all I have to say about these guys. One of the most remarkable Insta feeds I have seen and grown exponentially in the time that I followed them. Stephanie's love for photography grew after she adopted Gus. See Rescue to find out more!
@ifitwags rescued Gus from a high kill shelter in Utah
As you can see here Stephanie's love for animals started at an early age. Seen here are Stephanie, her sister Emily, and Tara, the dog that always went to school to find them. Fast forward to several years ago when Stephanie found Gus on petfinder.com but the trouble was he only had 48 hours to live and he was in Utah. Stephanie lives in Vancouver BC and was lucky enough with the help of Utah's Perfect Pointers, to get Gus up to her as an 8 months old pup and LIVED!. Travis, her other dog, was a foster dog that she and her boyfriend Josh, decided not to give back. And thus, the Pointer Brothers were born! Don't forget that you can get any kind of dog through adoption!
William Eggleston has been known the photograph a dog or two
Thank you Maria Bueno from Cheim Read Gallery for finding me this delicious photo of William Eggelston's.

Tim Walker and Jacob K have a fabulous dog
Wit and whimsy is how I think of Tim. Thank you for sharing this gorgeous picture of Stig, looking for a hunt in the hills. Tim and Jacob found Stig chained up outside their house in London 5 years ago and they are, as Tim would say, OBSSESSSSSSED. I get it. And Jacob, nothing finer than a man in a skirt.
Puffy Demarchelier
Would you ever suspect that Patrick Demarchelier would name his dog Puffy?
Lida and Malcolm Morley have a dog that chases sheep.
And apparently Elsa also likes tennis balls from the look of this Malcolm piece from 2009.
BARKHAUS, Miami is a very special place
I love Instagram because I found this AMAZING couple, Andres and Natalie, who own a company called BARKHAUS in Miami that is a day care and boarding for dogs. It grew out of their passion for animals and helping friends. When they had more fun with their dogs than their day jobs, Barkhaus was born and what a compassionate and amazing company they have now. Not to mention that they are GREAT photographers. Seen here are Bonnie and Mac, the first dogs they adopted together and the beginning of the BARKHAUS family.
Valerie Shaff will be nice to your dog and your horse, I promise.
After being given her first camera at age seven, Valerie's first subject was her dog Taffy. Twenty years later she was taking a picture for a friend and the result was magical; a gorgeous portrait of her friends dog, Cocoa.
HAVE TANK WILL TRAVEL
Jacklyn Russell and Walker Howland are photographers who share a passion for the natural world and its wonders. Their fish portraits capture the beauty and individuality of their subjects. They got into the pet photography as they share of love for both - animals and film. It was only natural that they combined the two and a good combo I would say.
My old friend Todd Eberle and his amazing dog REX
Todd once had a dog called T Bone. He was a beautiful, spunky dog and my daughter Sophie loved him so. T-Bone got old and now Todd has a dog named T Rex, half Chihuahua, half Maltese beauty. What a special dog he is. In fact, he lives up to that name of his and is an absolute "king". I think he likes art a lot, especially the Jeff Koons at the Brant Foundation.
An artist named Kaitlin O'Connor
When I left Glamour I was given many wonderful things, one of which was this mind blowing piece of art of my dogs Edie and Clair given to me by the delightful Kelly Sherin. Kelly’s friend, Kaitlin O'Connor, does these portraits on commission so I would encourage you all to sign up for one of your own pet. I will be forever grateful Kelly. I am obsessed.
Richard Phibbs is a rescue dog savior
Photographer and gentleman. Shoots celebrities and fashion, but really does a good dog―and really IS a good human. For the past several years, Richard has devoted a big chunk of his work life to finding all of these sweet souls a home. Working with the Humane Society of New York, he goes into a tiny examination room to take arresting and compassionate portraits of these scared little creatures who need to be seen to be loved. And he has been relentless: Of the 180+ dogs Richard has photographed, the majority have found a second chance at life in a new home thanks to his brilliant photographs.

Jacques Sonck
Department of the Province of Antwerp), he devoted himself since the mid-1970s on personal projects. He makes penetrating street and studio portraits of prominent figures from all walks of life. In his pictures he goes in search of archetypes. Classical portraits in the style of Diane Arbus. Without any judgment, Jacques Sonck confronts the viewer with charming and disturbing individuals: loners, eccentrics, drop-outs and deformed. Sonck's refined black-white images contain surprising, often anachronistic, aesthetics with remarkable documentary character. Diversity in all its shapes within the human species is depicted in an understated way, without melancholy, compassion or the intent to ridicule.
Katherine Wolkoff share these sublime images of dogs
Katherine took the first image in Ipswich 2003 and second Block Island 2007.
