MRS SIZZLE, THE DOGIST AND FOUND MY ANIMAL JOINED TOGETHER IN A PHOTO SHOOT. ADOPTING IS CHIC.
It was hot and we had a job to do yesterday. The ASPCA had asked if we could photograph some of their current dogs up for adoption. These beauties are all available right now and need your help. Imagine how good it will feel to see a tail wagging. There is nothing more fashionable than a chic new dog especially in Adopt October. To inquire about adoption call: 212-876-7700 extension 4120 or visit the shelter at 424 East 92nd Street in NYC.

MRS SIZZLE AND SOPHIE GAMAND TOOK A TRIP TO BROOKHAVEN ANIMAL SHELTER TO MAKE MORE #PITBULLFLOWERPOWER
Sophie Gamand is an animal lover, photographer, and animal activist extraordinaire.
I was lucky enough to be along for the ride last week in Brookhaven Long Island, a town that I live in and one that has a very special need which Sophie could fulfill - Pit Bull awareness - by extending her series "Flower Power, Pit Bulls of the Revolution". We visited the Brookhaven Animal Shelter, with Ashley Boyd at the helm, and over two days, Sophie was able to photograph more than 50 dogs. I was in awe!
MRS. SIZZLE LOVES A CHIC DOG PORTRAIT IN PLATINUM BY CAMERAWORK STUDIO
Tricia Rosenkilde from Camerawork Studio reached out to me to present her gorgeous platinum portraits of animals. Her own dog, Katie, came from a kill shelter in Georgia; she was originally found in the woods with her three sisters, living in an old wood pile with no food. The puppies all found wonderful homes when they were brought up to New Jersey by Eleventh Hour Rescue.

I HAD THE BEST DAY AT ANIMAL HAVEN WITH @THEDOGIST AND LOVE THY BEAST
Animal Haven (and that it is)! I spent the afternoon with Tiffany Lacey, the director of the shelter, and was undone by its pristine cages and the friendly staff. What a job! Not sure I could do it myself everyday but KUDOS to Tiffany. Pictured here are a FEW of the dogs currently up for adoption and I hope @thedogist and I did them justice. I have a special place in my heart for Barney as I know you will to! Please consider bringing one of these beauties home today.
MR.OLLIE PANTS, HAVE YOU EVER?
We rescued Ollie from the North Central Animal Shelter In Los Angeles, CA. He was brought in as a stray at the estimated age of 3/4months. When we met him, he simply walked over to the front of his cage and gently kissed our hands, and we knew we couldn't leave without him.
Shy and a bit skittish as a puppy, Ollie has blossomed into a wonderful adventurer and companion.
@TOANDFROM IS SO MUCH FUN
I was on the Huffington Post instagram account last Spring when I came across this amazing photo from @toandfrom. I had to get Diana Nguyen's story and don't you know she has a rescue dog!

All were photographed at the Humane Society on September 10th, and each and every one of them is looking for a forever home. If you are interested in any of these pets please email Sandra.
AMY TURNER LOVES DOLLY PARTON
My girlfriend, Sammy, and I were not sure if we were ready for a new dog after the death of our beloved dog, Edith Piaf. We went to an adoption fair from a wonderful rescue group in LA called Dogs Without Borders. We were very sad, and not sure if we were ready to bring another animal into our world… until we saw her.

KEVIN CRAFTS HAD A MILLION REASONS NOT TO HAVE A DOG
"Four years ago I had a million reasons why I shouldn’t have a dog; career change, apartment living, travel, etc. I started volunteering at a local dog shelter, why I’m not sure, but I had always volunteered and thought it might suppress my longing to have a dog and spare me the responsibility.
