SEBASTIAN KIM HAS A DOG NAMED MORENO WHO LIKES TO GO ON SHOOTS WITH HIM
This is Uggie. And this is Moreno with Sebastian on a shoot. Sebastian took Uggie's portrait during his performance in THE ARTIST. Sebastian says of Mrs. Sizzle's site, " Moreno will be so psyched to be on there. All I can say is that when Moreno comes to studio shoots, he gets more attention than the models. But he's also great help on set, he makes sure everyone is focused on creating great pics!" Thanks Sebastian!

WILL ADLER SURFS AND TAKES PICTURES OF DOGS
Will shows at Danziger Gallery. As Will puts it, "I have a great relation with dogs. While I don't have one at the moment I always enjoy being around them. They tend to make their way into my work very often. I feel like their personalities come out easily when they are being photographed."
MRS. SIZZLE AND THE DOGIST COLLABORATE TO HELP THESE BEAUTIFUL DOGS GET ADOPTED
We had a brilliant team come together for the simple reason of trying to help some rescue dogs! Add some fashion and you get some fetching shots! I have to thank The Dogist for taking the pics, Stacy Alldredge for arranging dogs, Lauren Paltin and Emily Holland for styling and Chappell Laird for assisting the whole shoot! Thanks to all foster families for coming!
THE THINGS SHANNON BRADY LEARNED FROM A RESCUE DOG
My brother, Doug Donaldson, introduced me to this wonderful yogi named Shannon Brady who has a delightful blog and does not have a dog. What she does have, however, is a big heart, a generous spirit, and a way with dogs.
PAMELA HANSON WORSHIPS HER DOGS DANNY AND MOLLY
Not only has Pamela been a fun friend but she is also a mad good photographer. And not only a photographer but a dog lover too which makes for a delicious doggie combo! Seen here are some summer fun dog pictures of the creatures she is in love with. Best part of this post is seeing her nanny, Lynny, with Tabu, the poodle, Ambra, the great pyrenees, and Jimmy Hendrix, the cat. In addition to dogs, she also loved horses but her parents drew the line at canines.
DONALD (DRAW) ROBERTSON LIKES TO TAKE PICS OF DOGS IN FUNNY CLOTHES
Donut is usually for scale, Monty is just handsome. And Donald likes to draw.
GRACIE NEEDED MUCH PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING FROM CORI AND SHE GOT IT
Gracie is a three year old Tennessee farm dog and if anything else, a survivor. She was found last winter, pregnant, wounded and in fear of everything. When her owner, Cori, rescued her from the shelter, she was undergoing treatment for heartworms and was scheduled to have her leg amputated. Cori decided against the amputation and took her to hydrotherapy. After having her for a month, Cori also realized that Gracie suffered from separation anxiety.
GET YOUR DAILY DOSE OF RILEY
We came across Chaity and Riley on Instagram as she takes the most heartwarming pictures of her Parson French Canadian dog. Chaity got Riley a year after being diagnosed with a pretty debilitating illness and he quickly became her inspiration and muse during her treatments and recovery. A former art director, Chaity's photographs of Riley began as a hobby, but he quickly became “insta-famous.” Now, Chaity and Riley use their instagram popularity to raise awareness and launch projects such as #ourpearlywhites which promotes Doggy Dental Hygiene. Besides Instagram, Riley and Chaity have launched their own accessory line on www.ichaity.com. Proceeds from these sales go to Chaity’s treatment and to The World Society for The Protection of Animals.
BILLY WOLF DOES A CHIC K-9
When I came across this amazing doggie brand I screamed, “WOOF for WOLF”! Based out of Montauk, LI, (lucky duck), Lindsey of Billy Wolf comes from a fashion background and brings that sensibility to all things dog. Check out this beautiful brand! Lindsey uses all vintage, American made fabrics to create these beautiful pieces. It being summer, you might opt for a denim bandana or great dog to toe instead! Check it out.
SHIRLEY FEED IN SHIRLEY NY IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE STORES
EVER. Did I mention I love this store? Whether you have a fish, a bird, a cat, a dog or a horse, (and I know I am forgetting something!) this is the place for you. John Colondona owns it and Sam and Deb are at the front always ready to greet you and help you out on anything you might need. What else do I like about this place? They promote awareness about shelter animals and do so much to help animals in need. Thank you Shirley Feed!
Malick Sidibe is a fav photographer of mine and can you believe I found a dog in one of his pictures
Christina Huffington loves her little dog Lucy
One of the first things I did when I moved back to LA from New York was begin the search for a rescue dog. All the big, green spaces were calling for a pup! I spent all of my free time obsessively scouring rescue websites and adoption centers for a dog. I had no idea what kind of dog I wanted, other than that I was probably more well-equipped to handle one on the smaller side.
FASHIONISTAS: A GIRL, A BOY, AND THEIR TWO CUTE DOGS
I found this amazing gal on FOUR&SONS and we were immediately drawn to each other for our love of dogs, fashion and photography. Claire Wolfson and Chris Prouty, (aka @sexloveandweinerdogs), have created the brand BEAN GOODS which I am obsessed with. They have taken their love for dogs, Bean and Van, and woven that into chic duds for people. (See Karlie sporting their genius bags, thank you Derek Blasberg!). With a keen eye to style (take a peek at her fab blog WLFHND) and a nod to humor these two are def ones to keep your eyes on!
Troy Dunham and James Irvin adopted Shotzy not long ago
As each day passes both Troy and James fall more in love with Shotzy. As Troy would say, “my heart grew ten times larger after adopting him.” The boys went through a rigorous interview process with Badass Brooklyn Animal Rescue but that’s always a good thing so the adoption sticks!
Julie Stone is Obsessed with Looking for Dogs
And so she tells her story:
"I had grown up with Wheaten Terriers, schnauzers and mutts. Once my family was ready for a dog, I was set on getting a wheaten terrier. I refused to purchase a puppy from a store . I wanted a Wheaten rescue. I searched all day, all night on every possible site everyday; I checked non stop. One Saturday night, after coming home from a party, I clicked onto petfinder at midnight and there staring back at me was HARRY. I couldn’t believe it. I called and left a message that night. I called the next morning, I said, “we must have him, please”, I called that afternoon, and again that night and then they told us one family was before us, but they promised, if it didn’t work out, he was ours. I assumed all was lost. Who wouldn’t want to keep him? I moved on the next day, checking, looking on anything possible to find a wheaten, but kept thinking about Harry. Two days later the phone rang and it was the woman from the shelter, she said, “the family had cats and Harry doesn’t like cats, he’s yours if you want him?” I screamed! “We don’t have cats and YES, we want him!” We all jumped in the car and drove to Connecticut to pick him up. They were waiting outside with him. He was huge and beautiful and loving and lovely. Bringing home a trained dog was heaven. He needed love and we couldn't wait to give it to him. After a year, having always been raised with two dogs in the home, I was ready for a sister for Harry. We adopted Evie, our Whoodle (wheaten terrier/poodle mix). It’s been two years now, and I can't imagine waking up with out feeling them lying next to me on my bed. Rescue! Rescue! Rescue! It's so worth it.
Alice Austin had a pug, E-I-E-I-O
Every year in honor of the legendary photographer, Alice Austin, and her pug, Punch, the Alice Austin House celebrates with a fabulous BYOP (bring your own pug) day. This year Gillian Laub and her family captured some of the festive canines.
