JEFF SCHER wants a dog. In the meantime playing with Sid will have to do.
I can't stop watching this hilarious play between man and beast. As Jeff puts it, “This film was entirely the dog’s idea. I just supplied the rubber pork chop and the camera. SID and I shared a summer house on Shelter Island, he belonged to famed graphic designer Paul Sahr. Sid was a foot long and in his prime had more energy than a sack of bedsprings and a stick of dynamite.

C/O The Maidstone Hotel invited Mrs. Sizzle and Olia Saunders over for a sleepover with a few friends from Arf Hamptons
One of the toughest things about being a dog is watching your owners head out on a great relaxing vacation knowing that your future does not include the trip. In the best case of scenarios, you are shipped off to have a sleepover with some of your puppy pals, but an even better idea would be to bring us along.
Pearl and Spike give the author Elizabeth Hess something new to write about
Pearl and Spike were rescued from a dogfighting ring in Alabama. They were part of a multi-state raid, which confiscated 367 dogs. The case began with a routine phone tap in a drug case in Georgia; three years later, simultaneously arrests were made in Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Texas, curtailing activities of the second largest dog fighting operation in the country.
Samuel Jurcic and rules for taking pictures of your dog
I was taken by this mesmerizing Instagram account that was irreverent and hysterical, and I needed to know the man behind the DOG:
"Before I started to use Instagram, I hadn't REALLY taken pictures. Sure, I had a compact camera like everyone, and one day I used my Smartphone too, but I was only snap shooting.

My Dog Hikes and swims and plays and licks and shakes - a short by Kloss Films
My Dog Hikes sent me this sweet video that one of Andrea's clients, Alec Maxwell of Kloss Films, made last week!
Alec on Andrea, "'Ru is in love with Andrea and My Dog Hikes. As you can see the pack run and swim all day long. Ru is able to burn tons of boston terrier energy in the beautiful country side and return home sleepy and content. I love at the end of the video, when Ru is back in the car, you can see exactly how exhausted he is."

Mrs. Sizzle and SWATCH took manhattan by storm and we have Amy Lombard pics to prove it
A fabulous writer friend of mine, John Ortved, had the pleasure of attending an event for the dog filled SWATCH launch of the My Pet and Me collection and this is what he had to say about it:
hangdog art makes mrs. sizzle very happy - hopefully it will you too
"Even while I was enjoying a 20-odd year stint as a travel writer, features journalist and magazine editor, I was always looking around for a valid reason to hang out with dogs all day. In 2012, I started indulging my hankering to paint, and I found that as I progressed, my subject matter became more and more canine – in a wry, not-too-serious way. I was hooked on the many expressions of every pooch I came across. Dog lovers responded by smiling, and Hangdog was born. It’s now an online shop selling fine art prints, stationery and textiles with an ironic, light hearted, doggish bent." - Megan Anderson
Graeme WIlliams discovered two dogs on a beach
The two dogs featured in this series were holidaying with their owner at a beach village called Pringle Bay, one hour’s drive from Cape Town. They would get up in the morning, run over the dunes, and then play energetically for the rest of the day. They seemed to be perfectly attuned.
