with the help of instagram friends we bring you RC/KP and Kate Perry's lovely animal illustrations
As you all know one of my favorite activities is being glued to Instagram and following the suggestion of accounts of other dog people I admire! So, @growlmama, when I finally get to meet you, I will hug you, for one of the brilliant accounts you led me to was this: Kate Perry of RED CHALK, who is a wonderful illustrator and was inspired by one of my photos enough to do it doggie justice with a drawing! Lucky Raggio, you made the Australian cut! As you would assume, I reached out and here is the "poop" on Kate and her wonderful illustrations!
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A DOG WORK? ANDREW FLADEBOE'S PICTURES CAPTURE IT ALL.
Andrew Fladeboe's series The Shepherd's Realm is the product of extensive international travel. He has journeyed from the U.S. to the Netherlands, Scotland, Norway and now, New Zealand, to create striking portraits of working dog breeds. Inspired by the tradition of British animal portraiture, his images reference the 18th-century paintings of George Stubbs and the 19th-century canvasses of Edwin Landseer.

I fell in love last month and I fell hard. The object of my affection right now is Pet People magazine. Nothing is better than getting a delicious little magazine full of treasures in your mailbox. As a fellow animal lover I reached out to Hilda Grahnat and Linnea Paulsson to find out more about their chic new magazine.
Here's Ella Bean the Insta-famous dog and a behind the scenes look at a busy day in her life
This one...Ok she may be small but I think she is larger than life! Chic, quirky, positive are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of Ella Bean the Dog but go ahead and see for yourself. Mrs. Sizzle grilled her the other week!

FOR the love of dog Biscuits is a must have for making your own treats
Jane Seymour was introduced to me through the brilliant Richard Phibbs. As a fellow dog and animal lover I was thrilled to know that she most recently became the the Creative Director at the non-profit animal charity Friends of Animals. In doing so she and her Mom put together this sweet dog biscuit cookbook For the Love of Dog Biscuits. As she informed me, "all proceeds go towards our spay / neuter program that offers low cost certificates to people nationwide. The book consists of 12 delicious and healthy recipes, one for each month in the year, and was written by my mother (the president of the company) and photographed / designed by me." My suggestion to all you dog lovers that knows what tickles your dog's tummies is to order one up and know that it is also the perfect gift for the holidays!!!
A rescue love story
As with many modern-day romances, my husband and I first met Merle online. We were scrolling through Petfinder, and came across a photo of a dumpling-shaped, impossibly adorable puppy named Limo. A few emails later, we learned Limo was unavailable, but that he had a brother named Charlos.
TINKERBELLE HOSTS C’EST CHIC YAPPY HOUR AT THE RITZ BY AMY LOMBARD!
Mrs. Sizzle couldn’t resist attending a “YAPPY HOUR” at the Ritz-Carlton New York, Battery Park that was hosted by the famous and fabulous TINKERBELLE. While the dogs were barking and the humans were talking, I asked this adorable papitese’s (papillon and maltese mix) Mom about the secrets of her success.

Faye Moorehouse is a brilliant illustrator with a gruesome mind that we love
I was so psyched to come across Faye Moorhouse's brilliant illustration on Instagram. I asked what made her tick and this is what I got:
"I’m inspired by strange stories I hear or weird looking people I see. I hear or read something and then think ‘I MUST paint that’. I've done a couple of 'Fight' and 'Attack' series of illustrations. I've always loved drawing really grotesque scenes and I particularly love painting strange beasts biting legs off of naked humans!
DOGS and denim are a winning combination in the dog days of summer
If Dr. Seuss were here today he would rescue an animal any day
Thank you Random house for publishing this brilliant project that was unearthed in the early nineties by his wife Audrey and friend Claudia Prescott. More importantly THANK YOU for acknowledging the importance of raising awareness about adoption and having that be the mission of the release of this book - it's SIZZLE inspired!
As one does in the summer, Neville and Charlie went to Maine to visit their buddy Carter
I’m not certain there’s enough space on this site to pine over my deep love of Maine. I spent most of my summer’s as a kid on an island in Penobscot Bay and subsequently most of my summer’s as an adult dreaming about one day sharing Maine with a family of my own but until that day comes, why not bring a dog or two!
Michael Lavine sent me this video on his beloved Cocker Sunny
"Our beloved English Cocker Sunny brought joy to our family for 8 short years. A sweet and kind animal that loved to play fetch, he was never far from his ball. He spent a lot of time on set with me and he loved the camera, always trying to get in the picture. Sunny was a fiercely loyal friend that would never stray from my side. Sunny passed away in 2011."
Elinor Carucci is thinking about getting a dog
And in 2003 she shot her friend's cats, Sasha and Digweed, named after the famous DJ. Maybe Elinor, after seeing so many pictures of dogs, will want one now.

LARS WAHL HAS AN AMAZING EYE FOR DOGS ON THE STREET
Lars Wahl says, "I began photographing dogs on the streets about 3 years ago. Now, it has gradually become an established ritual; I stake out the local supermarkets for "parked dogs" to add to my collection. My girlfriend thinks I’m embarrassing when I stop on our walks, to shoot a stranger's dog but that doesn’t stop me!
